Forward On Our Knees
What Readers are Saying
Reba Taylor
“I have been studying the beatitudes and the one about the pure in heart has captured me. Your first page about squeezing lemons grabbed me. What’s inside us is what comes out. Page 261 is also timely for me. Not pain from losing Bill, but the adjustments and accepting help, or resenting it. I’m trying to learn I don’t have to be right, and I need to turn control over to the Lord. He is so good and patient with me. Your book is full of wisdom, encouragement and daily instruction. Like Bill said, keep doing what you’re doing and get as many people saved as you can.”

“Having served with Dr. David F. Nixon for a brief time, my wife preordered his most recent book when she saw it was being released. I am so glad she ordered it for me. I am thoroughly enjoying, FORWARD ON OUR KNEES! You would too. Each page begins with scripture and a quote, followed by a relevant, anecdotal story, usually from David’s life. He then challenges the reader with a next step of obedience and ends with another applicable quote. Each page is a sermon in itself. It will encourage, challenge, and bless you.”

“I’m reading your book for the second time. First time straight through, this time one page a day. Many pages are highlighted and it has been both inspirational and encouraging to me. It is a great book.” 10/29/22.

Good morning! I am reading your book, “forward on our knees”.
I just want you to know how much it is helping me to develop a better devotional time.
Since I have started reading this book I feel like my relationship is improving with God.
Not that God loves me more now, but that I am taking time to talk to him and receive his loving grace! Thank you for writing this! http://AlivePublications.org
I can’t begin to share the tremendous impact this book has been, is, and by faith will continue to have on the people of our church. We are using it as the starting point, one lesson at a time, for Wednesday evening Bible Study. This Wednesday evening time was all but defunct when Karen and I arrived, with scarcely 3-5 people. Now we are having to move into another room–again–as it has grown to averaging 11-14 each night. Our goal and vision is to get to 20, while also discipling another leader/teacher, and have another evening where our people can have discipleship even more, i.e., growth and multiplication by discipleship and reproducing again of disciples that make disciples.
